The Finale Event of the Cultures of Consumption programme was held at the Institute of Contemporary Arts, 12 Carlton House Terrace, London, on the 27th of June 2007.

The event was held at the ICA, where we put together an exciting display showcasing our research findings with exhibits, games and tastings. In the evening we continued with a roundtable debate about how consumption is changing our lives, followed by open discussion.

3.30pm

Cultures of Consumption Bazaar (Nash and Brandon Rooms)
Visual displays, tastings and games showcasing research and
an opportunity to meet the researchers.


5.30pm

The Ethics of Consumption (Cinema)
Short research highlights introduced by Frank Trentmann,
programme director.
Round-table discussion chaired by the BBC economics editor,
Evan Davis.
Panellists:
The Rt Hon Tessa Jowell MP, Secretary of State for Culture,
Media and Sport
Sir Terence Leahy, Chief Executive, Tesco PLC
Ed Mayo, Chief Executive, National Consumer Council
Rita Clifton, Chair, Interbrand.

Drinks Reception (Nash and Brandon Rooms)
Plus another opportunity to visit the Bazaar.
